Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker contender on the globe by many of the top-ranked pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning 1. His papa introduced him to penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to pickup everything he could about the game. He routinely told his parents that he was going to be a professional poker player. Phil didn’t permit the detrimental feedback from others annihilate his dream of being one of the strongest poker players on the planet.

Phil began playing intently after acquiring a false ID with the name of Jerome. He sharpened his skills at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The beginning few years for him were a teaching opportunity and coming away with a win wasn’t a normal thing at the time. Phil decided to take his skills to the next level and moved out west to Vegas. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Ivey credits his success to hard work and a continuing love for the game of poker. He states that he is learning every single day and is incredibly abashed about his accomplishments. Phil admits to making errors every single game of poker and constantly aspires to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has won some big-time tournaments, he prefers destroying cash games on a normal basis.
