Have you observed the new PokerPro hold em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks ago when I took a quick trip with my parents to the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my name to be called at the live tables, I noticed how the other people around the PokerPro tables interface with one another. It was very intriguing to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that noticed this, except I did observe the players in the table had a dull quality to them. The reason for this may well be since there was no human discussion with the dealer, the atmosphere was relatively boring and the players looked uninterested. It was nearly as if I was seeing a live version of a web based holdem poker room rather than being seated with warm blooded humans. It was a little freaky and I kept flashing back to an episode of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the live tables was over an hour, I made a decision to observe how the game action was and to encounter this new texas holdem poker gaming technologies. Following wagering a few hands, I genuinely felt like I was playing at house. The lack of activity on the table was the primary reason. I like to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those items are possible at these electronic tables.

Another thing I noticed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a whole lot of hands on the PokerPro table and discovered that the play was a great deal like an internet based holdem poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to be very odd.

Following playing a few rounds with this "unique hold em poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m far better off wagering hold’em poker on the internet at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling establishment had been to acquire rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d loose a good deal of gamblers.
